The sport of belbogli kurash has a 5,000-year history and is represented by its national form in the traditions of about a hundred nations.
The emergence of belbogli kurash as a sport and the formation of its own rules are related to the Fergana Valley.
The wrestling of those with a waist belt, (which means brave) has always been in the public's attention as the wrestling at public events, various national holidays, and weddings. Valuable gifts and cash prizes were awarded to the winners.
Even today, the sport of Belbogli Kurash has its own rules and is the centerpiece of various holiday celebrations and weddings. The Belbogli Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan was established in September 2001 in order to further develop and promote the sport of Belbogli kurash in the world. His service was significant in promoting this sport in the world.
In order to further activate work in this direction, the Asian Belbogli Kurash Confederation was established in May 2022.
Muminkhuja Muratov was elected as the first head of the confederation.
Today, the confederation faces tasks such as representing and protecting the interests of national Belbogli Kurash federations (organizations) established in Asian countries, spreading the sport of Belbogli kurash in Asia, and fully demonstrating its attractiveness.
